    The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office Financial Crimes Unit is seeking an experienced investigator to participate in the investigation and prosecution of larceny, embezzlement and financial fraud cases.  Work closely with Assistant District Attorneys and State and Local law enforcement.  Responsibilities include gathering voluminous financial documents, conducting detailed financial analysis, preparing financial summary reports, participating in witness interviews, and testifying in grand jury and state court.

    Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or related financial forensic field; not less than three years’ experience as a financial investigator/analyst; two to three years prior experience with financial record review; the ability to work independently, and as a team member with others in the Financial Crimes Unit; strong preference for former employees of Department of Revenue or Banking Institutions with investigative backgrounds; strong communication skills; the ability to multitask and demonstrate proficient time management skills in handling several objectives concurrently; experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software programs such as Excel, QuickBooks, and Bank-Scan; and prior experience testifying in court proceedings preferred.

    The Town of Boxborough is a growing community with a AAA Bond Rating. The Town is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Town Accountant. The Town Accountant is a key member of the Town’s financial team responsible for maintaining a complete set of accounting records.

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field, preferred. At least three- five years’ experience in business administration or financial management or any equivalent combination of experience and education. Successful candidate should have thorough knowledge of municipal accounting principles and practices, fund accounting; comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, UMAS and GASB regulations and thorough knowledge of computer software including databases, spreadsheets and financial packages.  Specific knowledge of the legal controls, methods and procedures of municipal finance.     Town of Randolph seeks an Assistant Town Accountant. Responsibilities include: maintain the general ledger, appropriation and balance sheet accounts; post cash receipts, journal entries and budget adjustments to the general ledger; prepares trial balances  monthly; updates monthly entries, month end reports, distributes budget expense report and fund balance reports to all departments; balances tax receivables with the Treasurer/Collector’s office; resolves discrepancies in accordance with established procedures; processes weekly town and school vendor and payroll warrants, and other duties as assigned.
