Town of Danvers - Assistant Town Accountant

The Town of Danvers (AAA bond rating and FY20 budget of $121m) is seeking qualified applicants to join our team as the Assistant Town Accountant.  This full-time position performs a variety of professional accounting duties, prepares complex calculation and entries; reconciles and monitors various accounts; assists with audit and preparation of various reports.

Preferred applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting.  Additionally, this position requires excellent attention to detail, strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

The expected hiring range is $64,761 – 78,882, DOQ.  This is a 40-hour a week position.
